How long does it take to set up RetentionRail?
Most creators are up and running in under 5 minutes. Connect your YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram account via OAuth, choose a destination (or use our managed analytics), and your first data sync starts immediately. No code required.
Which platforms does RetentionRail support?
We currently support YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat. Additional platforms are on our roadmap — you can request a connector via the Help Center.
What is a destination and do I need one?
A destination is where your raw analytics data is stored — for example BigQuery or Google Cloud Storage. Destinations are optional: if you just want the RetentionRail dashboard and coaching reports, you don't need to configure one. Destinations are for teams who want to run their own SQL queries or build custom dashboards on top of the data.
How often does RetentionRail sync my data?
By default, syncs run every 24 hours. On Pro and Agency plans you can configure more frequent syncs down to every 6 hours. Historical data is backfilled on the first sync.
Why don't I see any data in my dashboard yet?
After connecting your first platform, the initial sync can take up to 15 minutes depending on how much historical data you have. If your dashboard is still empty after 30 minutes, check the connection status on the Connections page. A yellow or red status badge indicates an authentication issue — try reconnecting the account.
